You’re probably thinking “okay, I get that it’s Friday, but beyond the big ‘TGIF’ mentality, what is so special about today?” Today is very special because not only is it Friday, but it is also the day before the last day of the month. “Okay,” you’re saying, “But I still don’t see what the big deal is.” Fridays are the last day of the work week. Friday is your light at the end of the tunnel, a little bit of respite after a long and hard work week. Things are a little more relaxed and you are already day dreaming about what you’re planning on doing with the marvelous weekend ahead of you. Maybe you’re planning a hike. Maybe you’re planning on sleeping until mid-afternoon. Maybe you’re planning a day at the beach. Maybe you’re planning on spending all day on tumblr. The point is that things are a little more relaxed on Fridays and you have so much awesomeness planned for the next few days, which you can’t help but feel jazzed about! But why does it matter that today is the day before the end of the month? What does that have to do with anything? I adore the start of a new month because it means a new start. It’s like New Year’s except it comes 12 times a year! And believe me, after the month a lot of us has had, we could really use a new start. What happened last month doesn’t matter anymore; everything’s starting over again at one. If there’s anything you want to change about yourself, if there’s anything you’ve been holding off doing, if there’s anything you regret, now is the time to fix that. You have a great opportunity ahead of you, and I sincerely hope that you will make this next month as awesome as you are. I love you.
